Germany continued...

We arrived in München, checked in, and headed straight to the party. While, it wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be, it also was pretty much what I expected. The grounds for the festival are huge. There's about at least 10 giant "tents", inside and around these tents each serve the beer that the tent is named. So, if your in the paulaner tent, your drinking paulaner, etc. There must be at least 3 or 4 thousand people in each tent, and in most places you need to make reservations for a table, although there are small sections which are free for all. You have to be at a table to get served, which took us like 15 minutes to figure out. You can also order food at the tables. You can order a pig's leg, a chicken and other odd things.

People are friendly and everyone shares tables. The first table we sat with were American, the second group were French and didn't speak English. The third group were locals and all Munich cops. I asked them the history of Oktoberfest and no one seemed to know. The last table we sat with were locals and didn't speak English.

We were pretty smashed and decided to ride the roller coaster...hhaah always a good idea. We also went on a haunted ride.

Our night ended pretty early....7 hours of drinking will do that to you.

Today we will hit up Oktoberfest again....but we won't head out to the festivities until 3pm. This time we will check out more of Oktoberfest before we start drinking.
