Berlin day 2 and Prague

I have to say last night Peter shared a pizza with me… oh yes he ate pizza. I never thought I would see the day.

Our last day in Berlin wasn’t so long since we had to catch a train at 4:30pm, so we started the day with a big breakfast and headed out to check out the museum of the wall at Check Point Charlie. There you could recount ingenious escape attempts and other aspects individuals had to deal with in the Western and Eastern region of Berlin. This museum was so cluttered with information it took forever to get through it.
We next walked around the city until it was time to get on a train for Prague. It seems every city in Europe has a sex museum….we found the one in Berlin (we didn’t go in…it didn’t look too interesting)

Prague –
Trying to navigate around the city was difficult. We got lost trying to find our hostel (which I might add was located in a small alley, that was nearly impossible to find). The streets tend to twist and turn in certain parts and at night with a shitty map it makes it even harder. Plus, the street signs are impossible to pronounce unless you’re familiar with the Czech language.

I have to say Prague has been the most tourist city so far. The streets are packed with visitors and the Czechs seem somewhat irritated with people.

Our hostel was gross but located right in the center of the city. We dropped our stuff at the Hostel and off we went to explore. We found an underground jazz club with an ok live band. There we met people from California who told us about the hostel they were staying at for 13 bucks a person a night and the hostel did your laundry. We immediately wrote down the number. They also told us about a wine called Burcak which is only available three weeks out of the year (during the wine season) in Prague. It’s basically an early wine that isn’t finished fermenting. There were only about three places selling it. So we found out where to go to try this.

Next we found a sports bar where I beat Peter in foosball (yeah that’s right), and stayed until it closed at 1:30am.

Alas, Chantelle and I went to the Berlin Sex museum - you didn't miss much!

It's funny you mention that the Czech people are irate with tourists. My relatives are fine with this but they did mention a lot of it goes back to the mentality of communism back in the day. People usually kept to themselves but their attitude needs to change (I noticed the same thing).
