Open up and say Ahhhhh

Our flight to Philly was long and some passive aggressive dude spouted loud comments about how rude everyone was on the flight and loud enough for everyone to hear. I had to confront him on that one and he lost his temper with me. 8 hours later we made it to Dublin.

With our packs on our back we checked into a hostel called the Avalon. It's nice and even has a sink in the room.

With no sleep and a desire for lots of beer we started our trek at the Dublin castle where I learned that the last 22 years women have been presidents here....woo hoo. I also learned that the Guinness harp faces to the left
while the national harp faces to the right (or do I have that backwards).

Our next stop....none other than beer...yeah Guinness...while trying to find the bathrooms we actually got in free to the Guinness brewery. After delirium set in we decided to take a short nap before heading out to a traditional Irish-Music pub crawl.

I learned that some of my dad's songs he taught us growing up were originally Irish tunes. By the time they got to America it changed a bit, but the tune sounds the same.

After many beers and a few many songs later they asked the audience to sing some tunes from their own country.Peter and I volunteered and sang a Meters song....yeah and you can guess which one...(hint: "They all asked for you"). Peter really sang too. The beer got to him.

We made friends with a lady from Canada and a lady from Korea and continued drinking at other places in search of more music.

Today I got up at 7am....I don't think my body has adjusted to the time change. Either that or I'm becoming a morning person....hahahhah yeah right!
